It’s a nice location with good music. The food is decent but I wouldn’t get it again. The fried fish was good but it was covered in what looked to be a garnish. That was probably the best thing that I ordered. The strawberry lemonade is excellent but the “swamp water” lemonade that my husband got taste like regular lemonade with an aftertaste of blue raspberry. The Mac and cheese was kinda dry. The shrimp and grits wasn’t edible. The shrimp was tough and no comment on the grits. It was all bad. The fried okra was disappointing and had nowhere near enough breading on it. They taste soggy.
Very good food. Friendly employees. Something different to eat in the area. We had the gumbo fries, egg rolls sampler and catfish dinner. Everything was excellent. Will definitely be back!
Great place to grab a delicious cajun cooked meal! The food was perfectly seasoned and the serving portions were plentiful. Reminded me of home. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. I look forward to returning there on my next visit. (Disclaimer: I would have given the food a 5/5 except my fish kept falling apart. It could have been fried a little bit harder. I'm a Southern gal, and that is how I prefer my 🐟. I'll just request it that way next time.) 4.5⭐️
The food is amazingly delicious, and unique. We ordered there, as we thought it was more of a service based restaurant. Got the gumbo fries, gumbo tacos, voodoo rolls, and bayou fries. The food took a bit to be ready, but it was well worth the wait in regards to how delish it was. It’s nothing super fancy, but the food is wonderfully seasoned!!!
I ordered a Blazin Cajun crab boil, Bourbon Street Fries, and a shrimp po boy.... for myself. I know, that's way too much food for one person, but it was worth the investment. It made a great lunch AND dinner. I also ordered the crack juice. Flavor is amazing but it's too sweet for me so I diluted it with water (maybe some rum) and got a lot more than one cup out of it!
I definitely need to go back.
The banana pudding was delicious. Best I've had out here. Was homemade, as it should. The menu is very extensive. Love all the options. Will definitely be back to try way more. The macaroni was very good as well, which a lot of soul food places don't get right. Like the selection of drinks as well. Very yummy. Actually got to speak with the owner and chef. He is very nice, personable and great customer service. All the employees were nice except a couple of the women up front had bad attitudes. The one with braids and brown skin was nice and professional. Lighter skinned ones need improvement but I won't take that away from the food and owner. Keep up the great work. Vegas needs it lol can't wait to come back.
The girl upfront yesterday early evening around 530 was amazing I want to give her 5 damn stars she was Amazing. Her customer service was everything you want from the front of the house. However, the food was subpar. Okra and fries taste as if it was fried in burnt oil. Just terrible. The chicken I ordered requested all flats and the girl up front even asked the chef if it was possible and I was assured yes I could order it. Not at ALL what I received. My significant other ordered catfish I didn’t taste it however he didn’t eat it all nor did he eat the leftovers. The Mac & Sweet potato egg rolls were tasty for sure. Would like to try those once more for sure. We weren’t able to get dessert they didn’t have any more peach cobbler and only 2 sad slices of red velvet. So no dessert. Sucks! Definitely was looking forward to it.
Now I Love to see a black business prospering. However, the black dirt/dust on the ceiling fans, chipped paint around the front counter, ceiling lights hanging loose and others blown out, some sort of foam in the wall, and buckets of paint on the floor in the dining room. I’d say this was not ready to be opened for the day. Being that it was Juneteenth I would think they would have been overly prepared; but no red beans and rice available no desserts and with 3 hours left before closing it didn’t make sense. My significant other swore by this place but I’m left feeling like these reviews are false or from friends and family. Will I try it again probably not. I was so upset that my dinner was terrible. Needless to say my guy could feel my attitude all night and for $60. I was extremely upset! He’ll probably go back not I.
We went to Vegas for a getaway. Went here on Sunday Oct 1st around 11 a.m ish. Excited to try them because of Keith Lee review. My BF doesnt eat seafood but i really wanted to try this place The person at the register seemed like she was stressed. Not saying she was rude, or happy or pleasant. Its just that's the vibe she had. All of the food was cheesy. Lots of cheese. Overall. It was just okay to me. The pics I have are screenshots from a snapchat because I forgot to take pics. The Bayou fries were dry. The Voodoo rolls was supposed to be a sample of 3 diff rolls but they only had 2 out of the 3 avail. I didn't taste anything but cheese. The chicken Alfredo was good. We also had to go next door for their dessert. It was odd.. they sell it there but you gotta go 2 doors down. We got the banana pudding and peach cobbler w/ nachos (but my bf didn't want to wait for the nachos because it had to be cooked or something. Idk) but the desserts are huge portions. The deserts were good but I'm not into sweet stuff. Overall the cajun chicken was the best out of everything we ordered. Spent about 60$ more or less.
